Chess Fun - Website Regulations

§1. General Provisions and Owner Information

  1. These Regulations define the rules for using the online chess service Chess FUN, available at: https://chess-fun.com
  2. The owner and administrator of the Service is:

  3. These Regulations define the rights and obligations of Users, data protection rules and liability principles.
  4. Using the Service means acceptance of these Regulations.

§2. Definitions

  • User – a natural or legal person using the Service.
  • Account – an individual User profile created within the Service.
  • Content – any materials available within the Service.
  • Service – an electronic service provided by the Administrator.

§3. Scope of Services

The Service provides in particular:

  1. solving chess puzzles
  2. participation in events organized by the Service owner
  3. analysis of chess games
  4. access to training materials
  5. uploading profile photos and multimedia content

The Service may offer free and paid features.

§4. Terms of Use

  1. The User must use the Service in accordance with the law.
  2. Actions disrupting the Service are prohibited.
  3. Illegal or offensive content is prohibited.
  4. Each User may use only one Account.
  5. Commercial use requires Administrator consent.
  6. The Administrator may block an Account in case of violation.

§5. Copyright and Intellectual Property

  1. All intellectual property rights belong to the Administrator.
  2. Copying and distribution without consent is prohibited.
  3. Users grant a non-exclusive license for uploaded materials.
  4. The Administrator may remove infringing content.

§6. Privacy and Personal Data Protection

  1. The Administrator processes personal data in accordance with GDPR.
  2. Data processing is based on Article 6 GDPR.
  3. Photos may constitute personal data.
  4. Users have the right to delete their data.
  5. Data transfers outside the EEA are secured.
  6. Users may exercise their GDPR rights.

§7. Security

  1. The Administrator applies appropriate security measures.
  2. Users are responsible for protecting login credentials.

§8. Liability

  1. The Administrator is not liable for interruptions beyond control.
  2. The Administrator is not responsible for User actions.
  3. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

§9. Account Deletion

  1. Users may delete their Account at any time.
  2. The Administrator may block Accounts in case of violations.

§10. Complaints

  1. Complaints may be submitted electronically.
  2. Complaints are processed within 14 business days.

§11. EU Law Compliance

  1. The Service operates in compliance with EU law, including GDPR and the Digital Services Act.
  2. The Administrator fulfills EU transparency and protection obligations.

§12. Amendments

  1. The Administrator may amend the Regulations.
  2. Continued use means acceptance of changes.

§13. Final Provisions

  1. Polish law and EU law apply.
  2. Disputes are resolved by the court competent for the Administrator.
  3. These Regulations enter into force upon publication.
